RUSSIAN AIRLINES PLAN TO BUY 29 TU-204 AIRCRAFT IN THE NEAREST FOUR YEARS

   Russian airlines plan to buy 29 Tu-204 aircraft in the nearest four years,- informed Press Service of Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation.
    "In 2002-2003 russian airlines bought 7 Tu-204 aircraft, including 6 aircraft on leasing terms and 1 aircraft on credit. In 2005 four aircraft are planned to be bought and in 2008 - 25 Tu-204 aircraft, - informed Ministry of
Transport of Russian Federation.
    
During the visit in Ulyanovsk Igor Levitin, the Minister of Transport of Russian Federation,  visited CSC "Aviastar-SP", where he acquainted himself with aircraft production and met with the management of the factory on Wednesday.
    "Tu-204 aircraft, produced by CSC "Aviastar-SP", play an important part in reequipment of aircraft fleet with modern types of aircraft and helicopters of all classes," - noted Ministry of
Transport of Russian Federation.
    Among modern long-distance aircraft, operated by russian airlines, 40% are Tu-204 aircraft.
   According to  Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation, in order to fulfill the planned volume of air carriage effectively, airlines will need 615 long-distance and regional aircraft and 350 helicopters of different types to upgrade the aircraft fleet till  2010.
