THE TUPOLEV-204 PASSENGER AND CARGO AIRCRAFT FAMILY |
Production of the Tu-204 aircraft designed by a renowned Tupolev Design Bureau incorporates the advanced achievements in aerodynamics, aviation materials science, avionics and engine manufacturing. While developing the aircraft, more than 700 design innovations were introduced to improve its structural, aerodynamical, flight and technical performance and essentially increase its service life and reliability. The Tu-204 aircraft marked the beginning of the whole aircraft family the following modifications of which are produced by Aviastar-SP:
passenger Tu-204-100, Tu-204-300, Tu-204-120, Tu-204-100E
cargo Tu-204C, Tu-204-120C, Tu-204CE, Tu-204-120CE

The Tu-204C, Tu-204-100 and Tu-204-300 aircraft are equipped with highly efficient turbofan trishaft engines PS-90A of Perm Engine Plant (Russia) manufacture featuring high by-pass ratio, mixed air-gas flow, common nozzle assembly and thrust reverser.

The main difference of the Tu-204-120 and Tu-204-120C from the Tu-204-100 and Tu-204C is that they are equipped with cost efficient advanced turbofan engines RB.211-535E4 of Rolls-Royce Company (Great Britain) and can be adapted to any foreign engines.

The Tu-204-300 is a modification of the Tu-204-100 aircraft and differs from its prototype in 6-m-shorter fuselage, reduced seating capacity and increased flight range.

Aircraft and engines are certified by Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee and fully meet all international noise level and toxic emission requirements (Chapter 3, Enclosure 16 of ICAO requirements).
Mutual cooperation of Aviastar-SP and Tupolev Design Bureau resulted in incorporating the following significant modifications and design solutions:
Our aircraft have been successfully operated by the leading Russian and foreign airlines such as ‘Kavminvodyavia’, ‘KrasAir’, 'Siberia’, ‘Air Rep’, ‘Cairo Aviation’ (Egypt), ‘TNT’ (Belgium).
