TU-204-300 AIRCRAFT WAS GIVEN THE INDEX FOR SERIAL PRODUCTION
From 15 to 17 December at CSC “Aviastar-SP” the enlarged meeting of the interdepartmental commission was held. The complete package of technical documentation for TU-204-300 aircraft serial production at Ulyanovsk factory was discussed. The commission of 17 members was headed by Vladimir Savin, the chairman of the independent inspectorate of the Aviation Committee (AR IAC). The specialists from JSC “Tupolev”, the independent inspectorates of JSC “Tupolev”, the producer-factory and other organizations were in the commission.
The presented documentation was given the index allowing serial production of TU-204-300 aircraft at CSC “Aviastar-SP”. It means that CSC “Aviastar-SP” has the full right of serial production and sales of one more promising aircraft type from ‘Tupolev’ aircraft family. It became possible due to great common efforts at TU-204-300 creation of both Ulyanovsk aircraft builders and JSC “Tupolev” Design Bureau, and successful completion of one of the stage of the new aircraft’s certification tests. The aircraft showed the high level of reliability, economical efficiency and excellent flight performances.
“POLET” AIRLINE HAS LAUNCHED INTO SERVICE ONE MORE “RUSLAN”
On the 22d of December in Ulyanovsk the An-124-100 aircraft, acquired on the secondary market in October by “Polet”, was introduced into service. Today, the fleet of the airline contains 8 aircraft of this type.
The modification and maintenance of the aircraft were performed by specialists of “Aviastar-SP’’ jointly with maintenance personnel of the airline.
Before getting the airworthy certificate the “Ruslan” aircraft was tested in flight by the crew of “Polet” headed by Anatoly Buslaev, the 1-st class pilot.
The leaders of enterprises and airlines participated in the meeting noticed that only due to their joint actions the “Ruslan” aircraft, registration number 82068, starts its service life on domestic and foreign markets of oversized cargo, demand for which increases every year by 15-20%.

NEW RUSSIAN PASSENGER AIRCRAFT IS TO MAKE ITS FIRST FIGHTS IN THE BEGINNING OF 2005
The Head of “Tupolev” Center design bureau Valery Solozobov has announced that a new middle range TU-204-300 airliner is to make its first flight in the beginning of 2005. The stage of certificate tests is near completion. The aircraft is to get the type certificate. All formalities are supposed to be completed in December and the operation of TU-204-300 by “Vladivostok Avia” is to begin in January.
«Transaero» and a number of Siberian and Far –Eastern carriers have made the application for the new aircraft. “For the first time the economic aircraft powered with 2 engines can be operated on long-haul routes instead of liners with 4 engines consuming great quantity of fuel”- explained Solozobov. According to his words, TU aircraft family was created for short-haul, middle-haul and long-haul service routes. The equipment, operation and after-sales support of this aircraft type is unified as much as possible.

NEW PASSENGER AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN CREATED IN RUSSIA
A new passenger TU-204-300 airliner has been created in Russia. It is the first Russian two- engine aircraft the flight range of which is more than 9000 km. All long –range vehicles constructed before were powered with 4 engines and consumed twice more fuel.
At present the TU-204-300 is undergoing the acceptance test, after which it is to be delivered into operation to “Vladivostok Avia”. In 2005 this airline will acquire 3 more liners.
“Tupolev” company, in its turn, informs that “Transaero” and a number of Siberian and Far-Eastern carriers are also going to purchase this aircraft type.
It was also noticed that in October TU-204-300 made a round flight from Moscow to Vladivostok and proved its efficiency in operating on long-haul routes.

NEW TU-204-300 HAS CARRIED OUT ITS FIRST TEST FLIGHT
One more new aircraft TU-204-300 built at CSC “AVIASTAR-SP” has carried out its first test flight on Thursday, the 25-th of November.
The aircraft spent two hours and a half, including the landing runs, in the air. The flight program was completely fulfilled. According to the crew the new aircraft has shown high flight performance and reliability. The tests are to be terminated in early December.
