NEW TU-204-300 HAS CARRIED OUT ITS FIRST TEST FLIGHT

One more new aircraft TU-204-300 built at CSC “AVIASTAR-SP” has carried out its first test flight on Thursday, the 25-th of November.

The aircraft spent two hours and a half, including the landing runs, in the air. The flight program was completely fulfilled. According to the crew the new aircraft has shown high flight performance and reliability. The tests are to be terminated in early December.

CSC ‘AVIASTAR-SP’ WAS ENTITLED TO THE CERTIFICATE OF PRODUCTION APPROVAL.

On 3 November 2004 Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee gave CSC ‘Aviastar-SP’ the certificate of aircraft production approval. Since 5 June 1995 the factory has been entitled to it every two years. According to this certificate aircraft building enterprise in Ulyanovsk is allowed to produce aircraft according to the certified typical structure. To be more exact: production of the following aircraft AN-124-100, TU-204, TU204-100, TU-204-120, TU-204-120C, TU-204C; modification of AN-124 aircraft to AN-124-100 typical structure.

Thus, Aviation Register reaffirmed that the biggest aircraft building enterprise met all necessary requirements for further production of promising aircraft.

ZAO “AVIASTAR-SP” PROLONGS SERVICE LIFE OF “RUSLAN”

During four months and a half the body of final assembly shop has been upgrading AN-124-100, serial number 06-08, owner of which is “Volga-Dnepr” airline. Using the language of production workers, this routine operation is called the service life prolongation, which is carried out after accumulating 12 thousand hours total flying time. Qualified operators accomplished the work in proper time in accordance with technology and the customer requirements. For example, shock struts were considerably reinforced, the crew cockpit became more comfortable.

The other day “Ruslan” has left the shop. The aircraft was transported in JSC “Spektr-Avia” for coating. At the beginning of the 3-d decade of November it must take off. Meanwhile, in the fixtures of assembly shop N291 the work is underway- the service life of one more AN-124-100 is prolonging.

VICTOR MIKHAILOV MET WITH SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS

On 2 November at CSC ‘Aviastar-SP’ Victor Mikhailov, General Director of CSC ‘Aviastar-SP’ met with students from universities of the city – young people, scholarship holders, who want to work at CSC ‘Aviastar-SP’ after graduating from higher educational institutions. Last year 7 students got scholarship. At present they are specialists and work at the factory. Five persons work as design engineers, the rest - as lawyers. This time 6 students were invited: two persons are future financiers, four persons – future aircraft builders.

When the meeting was over the students and other participants of the meeting had their photo taken. The students asked Victor Mikhailov to sign ‘Aviastar’ notebooks, they were presented, and were very glad to find the following words there: “I wish you happiness for your whole life”.
