TU-204-300 AIRCRAFT PRODUCTION IS APPROVED

    On 26 May 2005 Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee gave CSC “Aviastar-SP” the Annex to Production Approval Certificate authorizing manufacture of TU-204-300 aircraft, which had been certified before (Certificate CT ¹238-ÒÓ-204-300 dtd 14.05.2005)

TU 204-300 AIRCRAFT STARTED FOR “VNUKOVO” AIRPORT

    Having been given type certificate, TU-204-300 aircraft flied to Moscow at 8 p.m. on 19 May to participate in the grand ceremony of aircraft delivery to the customer - “VladivostokAvia” airline. The ceremony took place at 12 o’clock on 20 May at Vnukovo airport. On behalf of Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov, Governor of Ulyanovsk Region, Sergey Yermakov, Mayor of Ulyanovsk, Viktor Mikhailov, General Director of CSC “Aviastar-SP” are to take part in the ceremony.
    TU-204-300 aircraft meets all the effective ICAO and EUROCONTROL requirements and has type noise certificate, allowing to make flights on any international routes. The aircraft is approved to conform to Aviation Rules ÀÏ-25. This aircraft is the first in Tupolev family modification, manufactured at CSC “Aviastar-SP”. At an early date one more aircraft is planned to be delivered to Vladivostok and two more aircraft - till the end of the year.

TU-204-300 AIRCRAFT CERTIFICATION

    On 14 May, Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee issued Type Certificate ¹CT 238-TU-204-300.
    Certification testing, being performed within 14 months and demanded over 110 flight tests with 2 aircraft participation, proved the airplane compliance with ÀÏ-25 requirements.
    The aircraft, awarded the noise certificate ¹ÑØ 149-Tu-204-300, complies with all current and perspective ICAO and Eurocontrol requirements, which makes unrestricted flights available on any international air-routs.
    The certification tests completed, CSC “Aviastar-SP” and JSC “Tupolev” start pre-arrangement for two Tu-204-300s launch, scheduled for the coming month. Meantime, the assembly of 2 more aircraft of this type, which are to be put into operation till the end 2005, is underway.
    The Tu-204-300 powered by PS-90A-new brand of JSC ”Tupolev”, adapted for contemporary social and economic conditions of Russia: universal, reliable, comfortable. The airplane is designed for passenger transportation on short-, middle- and long-haul (up to 7000 km) air-routes.
    According to Sergey Milyukov, Chief Engineer of “Aviastar-SP”, the airborne avionics underwent essential modifications: the latest navigation systems, airborne collision avoidance systems, ground enhanced proximity warning systems, the newest radar systems, detecting on route turbulence, which is extremely important for flights in South-Asian and Pacific regions. Maximum of passenger comfort is provided both for business- and economy-class: modern seats, withstanding acceleration of 16g, original cabin design, flat LCD monitors available for all passengers, wide galleys equipped with electric ovens, coffee-makers, refrigerator.

    Forward view camera allows passengers to observe takeoff and landing on individual monitors as if they were pilots (for the first time in Russia). It provides the TU-204-300 passengers with pleasant flight.

14.05.2005 TU-204-300 A/C HAS BEEN CERTIFIED

    14 May, 2005 TU-204-300 a/c has been granted with Type Certificate confirming its full compliance with PA-25 requirements currently valuable in Russia which are similar to European aviation standards JAR. The aircraft has been also given a Community Noise Level Certificate. These documents of Aviation register at Interstate Aviation Committee make it possible for such type of airliners to carry passengers over Russian Federation and abroad.
    TU-204-300 with PS-90A engines is a mid-range passenger a/c is intended to carry passengers, luggage and cargo on domestic and international trunk routes of 500 to 8500 km long . The airliner was built on the basis of TU-204-100 a/c and represents the continuation of TU-204/214 a/c family. TU-204-300 a/c performed its maiden flight 18 August, 2003. The aircraft is produced in series at “:Aviastar-SP” Closed Stock Company in Ulianovsk. Opposite to TU-204-100 the TU-204-300 a/c has a shortened fuselage (by 6 m) and increased fuel reserve. Set of equipment was updated. Improved comfort level of the cabin helps the passengers to withstand long flights. Maximal payload is cut down to 18000 kg at increased flight range.
    Baseline layout of passenger cabin – three-cabin configuration is offered in three versions:
        - 157 passenger economy class seats version
        - 155 passenger economy class seats version
        - two-class version for 142 passenger seats.
    Mixed version of 142 passenger seats cabin provides 8 business-class sets (seat pitch is 1050 mm) and 134 passenger seats in economy class (seat pitch is 810 mm).
    As per Customer desire the aircraft can be delivered with other layout of cabin to meet his requirements.
    All seats of business class are equipped with information and entertainment systems providing watching of 4 video-channels. In the economy-class cabin video-monitors are installed at every three seat rows. Passengers will have opportunity not only to watch video-films, listen to music but also to get information on the a/c location, distance to the airport of destination and other data on the flight.
    TU-204-300 passenger cabin design is characterized by possibility to convert the airliner from one version to other in short time in the airport.
    The aircraft is provided with two pressurized cargo-luggage compartments. Volume of the forward cargo-luggage compartment is equal to 7.4 m3, of rear one – 20.4 m3.
    The flight crew size is 3 persons. Further TU-204-300 two-member crew version is scheduled to be produced. 5 to 8 seats are provided for attendants.
    Service range depending on payload at accepted fuel reserves is equal to following: at max payload of 18000 kg – 5600 km, at payload of 13500 kg – 7500 km. The values are given for maximal take-off weight of 105000 kg, flight level 10100 – 11600 m and M=0.76-0.78.
    The first customer of TU-204-300 airplanes became “Vladivostok Avia” airlines. During the year 2005 this airlines will receive a batch of 43 machines. The first two airplanes (side numbers 64026 and 64038) will enter into operation in the nearest dates. There is a package of more orders for the airplane from a number of airlines.

AT CSC “AVIASTAR-SP” SALARY IS TO BE INCREASED FROM 1 MAY

    For the purposes of raising social protection of workers at CSC “Aviastar-SP”, settling of payment for work of all workers’ categories, keeping personnel at the company and raising material interest in performing the planned work in 2005, from 1 May new salaries for workers and employees are approved by the order, signed by Viktor Mikhailov, General Director.

REGULAR BOARD MEETING OF CSC “AVIASTAR-SP” TOOK PLACE IN MOSCOW

    The main subject of the Board of Directors meeting of CSC “Aviastar-SP”, held on 22 April in Moscow at the Ministry of Industry and Power Engineering of RF, was preparation for shareholders’ annual general meeting, fixed on 9 June h.a. Valery Voskoboinikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Power Engineering of RF presided over the meeting.
    The Board members discussed and preliminary approved annual report and balance of CSC ”Aviastar-SP” for 2004. The agenda and order of shareholders’ meeting conduct as well as other materials provided to shareholders were ratified.
    In connection with the forthcoming meeting of Victor Mikhailov, Director General, with representatives of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for discussion of finance documentation, the Board members gave a process report concerning TU-204-120CE aircraft delivery to People’s Republic of China and the agenda of impending negotiations.
