AIRBRIDGE BETWEEN TWO OCEANS

       For the first time in the Russian recent history Vladivostok Air airline initiated direct air service between Vladivostok and Saint-Petersburg having connected coasts of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.
    On November 2, 2005 Vladivostok Air airline started carrying out a new direct flight on Vladivostok- Saint-Petersburg- Vladivostok route, the second new lane opened this autumn and covered by the Tu-204-300. On October 27 the Tu-204-300 enlarged its network with Vladivostok-Yekaterinburg airway.
    Presently those who wish to visit Saint-Petersburg have the opportunity to cross Russia within nine hours. The new route became very popular with passengers – the aircraft was nearly filled up. The event was marked by lower fares: the journey from Vladivostok to Saint-Petersburg cost about 9,000 rubles.
    Upon the aircraft landing at Pulkovo, Saint-Petersburg, an official ceremony of the new route presentation took place. Among the participants were Gennady Belousov, Vladivostok Air Deputy General Director – Flight Safety Manager, Alexander Sichkar, its Acting Deputy Flight General Director, commercial Department and PR representatives. The receiving party was headed by Alexander Medved, Deputy General Director – Pulkovo Airport Commercial Director and Alexander Shestakov, Deputy Production Director. Pulkovo Airport Management took an active part in the press-conference organization, its conducting and discussion of the new airway prospect.
    After the press-conference the aircraft and its high level of passenger comfort were presented to the representatives of mass-media, travel agencies, tickets distributors and Pulkovo Airport administration.
    The airline offers its extended services from North Palmyra to South-East Asia countries. A well-worked schedule of Vladivostok airport represents a wide range of advantages. The airline offers regular flights to Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, as well as charters to resorts of Thailand, Sanya and Bali islands to travel agencies and travelers.
