THE ASSEMBLY OF THE FIRST OF FIVE TU-204-120CE INTENDED FOR THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA IS COMPLETED

    The assembly of the first of five Tu-204-120CE intended for the People’s Republic of China is completed.
    On April 14 this year the aircraft was transported to the airport facilities for certification testing program.
    The Tu-204-120CE is an updated cargo aircraft in export “English” modification equipped with instrument display featuring British measurement system.
    This is the first Russian jet fitted with automated air-ground data link system transmitting systems and engines related information.
    Working cargo hold capacity is increased up to 98% due to additional cargo container at tail section.
    The delivery of the aircraft to the Chinese airline is scheduled for September 2006.

SUPERVISORY COUNCIL MEMBERS OF “JOINT AVIATION CONSORTIUM” NONCOMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIP TOOK A LOOK AT AVIASTAR-SP

    On the 10th of April Aviastar-SP was visited by Aleksey Fedorov, MIG Aircraft Company General Director, a member of “Joint Aviation Consortium”, Valery Bezverhny, “Joint Aviation Consortium” President, Andrey Cherkashin, “Joint Aviation Consortium” Director for Enterprises Cooperations and Viktor Livanov, “S.V.Ilyushin Aviation Plant” General Director, a member of “Joint Aviation Consortium”.
    According to the official visit programme the delegation visited all factory works. Viktor Mikhailov, Aviastar-SP General Director detailed a/c TU-204 manufacturing procedures.
    Then the meeting took place in which Sergey Morozov, Ulyanovsk District Governor, Aleksey Isaikin, Volga-Dnepr Co. President – Chairman of Aviastar-SP Directors’ Board, Alexander Pinkov, Deputy Chairman of Ulyanovsk District Administration for Economic Development, Igor Selivestrov, Deputy Chairman of Ulyanovsk District Legislative Assembly participated.
