Chinese aviation authorities have certified the Tu-204-120CE aircraft
On the 29th of June CAAC has issued Certificate VTC0185a on the new upgraded Tu-204-120CE aircraft. The Certificate confirms that this aircraft completely satisfies the airworthiness requirements of CAAC. The holder of certificate is Tupolev company.
The Tu-204-120CE is the first Russian export-oriented middle-range cargo aircraft powered with RB-211-535E4-B-75 engines and equipped with English cockpit made on request of CAAC. The liner was produced on the basis of Tu-204-120C aircraft for shipping payload of 27 t in first-class containers on routes up to 3,000 km or those of 10.5 t on routes up to 7,400 km. On-board data indicators is performed in British measuring system. For the first time the Russian aircraft is supplied with the automatical board-earth data link system regarding equipment and engines condition. The cargo compartment utilization is increased due to the extra cargo container in the tail section. The Tu-204-120CE a/c completely meets the most rigid ÀÏ-25 and JAR-25 rules.
At present Aviastar-SP has started procedure of the aircraft delivery to the Operator (Air China Cargo), which takes place in July. The production of the second Tu-204-120-CE aircraft for this company is almost completed. Under the operating contract five Tu-204-120CE aircraft, now being manufactured at Aviastar-SP in accordance with production schedules, will be delivered for China.
