On the 19th of October there were negotiations within Aviastar-SP between the top managers of Joint Aviation Corporation (JAC) and Ulyanovsk district government resulted in signing the agreement on strategic partnership and long-term, efficient and mutually profitable cooperation. The document vital to Aviastar-SP was signatured by Sergey Morozov, Ulyanovsk district governor, and Alexey Fyodorov, JAC Chairman.

The district government undertakes for settling issues in regard to systematic evolution of Aviastar-SP’s scientific-technical and production potential, technical and technological improvement of its production capacities, and providing it with production and management staff of varied ranks according to production requirements and modern technologies. The agreement involves the critical item regarding Aviastar-SP’s preparation of agreed construction documentation for building housing stock and other facilities. JAC promises considerable increase of Aviastar-SP production program, capital investment in production development, introduction of up to date technologies, and maintenance of high professional standards of factory managers and personnel.

In reply to questions Alexey Fyodorov pointed out that JAC provide for further substantial increase of Aviastar-SP capacity in the next years. It will cause production rise of Tu-204’s, preservation of experience on unique freighter construction, and implementation of new production programs.

On October 4 a Venezuelan delegation headed by Alexis Rafael Navarro Rojas, Ambassador Extraordinary of Venezuela, visited Aviastar-SP. The delegation consisted of embassy officials and private guests of the Venezuelan Ambassador. Igor Egorov, Deputy Minister for Investments and Foreign Relations in Ulyanovsk Region, and Irek Aminov, Aviastar’s Production Director, described production possibilities of the factory in details.

The members of the delegation made a visit to the final assembly shop, boarded passenger Tu-204-100 being under construction and An-124-100 being under scheduled maintenance. The guests highly appreciated what they had seen. Further discussion of the prospects of the factory with the participation of Viktor Mikhailov Aviastar-SP’s General Director took place at the conference hall.
