Aviastar-SP has Delivered the Tu-204-100B aircraft to the customer

At the grand meeting on the 3^rd June Aviastar-SP has delivered the first new Tu-204-100B a/c to Red Wings airlines (Avialinii 400) within the ranges of the Ulyanovsk-Vostochny airport. The delivery of the airplane was attended by Sergey Mironov, RF Federation Council Chairman, who arrived in the company of Sergey Morozov, Governor – Chairman of Ulyanovsk region government. The function took place in the immediate vicinity of the aircraft and attracted lots of factory workers.

The acceptance certificate was signed by Sergey Dementiev, Aviastar-SP Executive Director, Yury Ostrovsky, IFC Technical Director, and Konstantin Teterin, Red Wings General Director. They all stressed significance of this event which is in coincidence with the government guidelines in respect of providing Russian airlines with domestic made aircraft.

Sharing his view Sergey Mironov estimated situation within Russian aviation industry to be improving. “We should manufacture and operate our own airplanes instead of purchasing Western used ones”, - so the senator.

The governor Sergey Morozov told good news to the workers of our plant. The Ulyanovsk region was laurelled according to results of federal competition for assigning status of the hub-type special economic zones on June 2, and it will bring considerable investments therein. The great role in accepting this decision played the Ulyanovsk-based aircraft manufacturer –  Aviastar-SP.

After signing acceptance certificates, delivering aircraft log book and keys to the customer, and cutting off red line, the audience was given access to the new liner.

The airplane colored red-white as Red-Wings (210 seats in passenger compartment are of the same color) is constructed with the regard for wishes and suggestions of this company specialists and is highly competitive with Western counterparts. By the way, the company is operating three airplanes of Tu-204’s which were produced by Aviastar-SP.

Sergey Mironov also boarded the powerful An-124-100 Ruslan which the Ulyanovsk aircraft manufacturers are very proud of. The senator stressed a necessity of resuming production of this unique liner within Aviastar-SP.
