Mikhail shushpanov has been appointed the new head of aviastar-sp

On the 10^th December the Aviastar-SP shareholders’ meeting was summoned. It came to resolution about Viktor Mikhailov’s dismissal from the post of Aviastar-SP General Director.

Presently Viktor Mikhailov is the Full Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, academician, Ulyanovsk freeman. Besides he has got government awards such as the Russian Federation Government Prize laureate, the Hamza Prize laureate of the Uzbek Soviet Socialistic Republic, the Medal “For Valiant Labor” in honor of Vladimir I. Lenin’s birthday 100^th anniversary, the Labor Red Banner Decoration, the October Revolution Decoration, the “Honorary Aircraft Manufacturer” breastplate.

Due to his being head of the major aircraft factory a number of vital programs was accomplished, in particular the Civil Aviation Protection Program came into being. It “should be developed and strengthened. The main point – aircraft production, that nowadays is being enhanced, was saved. The main target – rise and qualification improvement of personnel which underwent some changes and capable of challenging the most accountable and ambitious projects”.

The new head of Aviastar-SP is Mikhail N. Shushpanov, VASO ex-director.
